What is the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce (GVCC)?

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce is a non-political, not-for-profit business association. We advocate for business on a municipal, provincial and federal level while promoting economic development in our region. We provide leadership for business and enourage sustainable growth, prosperity and service excellence.

 What makes the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) unique as a business organization?

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce is connected to thousands of members provincially, nationally and internationally through other Chambers, Boards of Trade, trade associations and business organizations.

How is the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce making a difference for business?

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce strives to be the Influencial Voice of Business in our Region and to use this voice to bring the best possible value to its membership.  Benefits to business include; networking and connection to the business community, comprehensive benefits for reduced rates on many operation costs for business, advocacy to government on issues important to our members and events that bring expertise and current tools to foster business growth and success.

How does the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce form its policy platform?

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce attends meetings that keep us updated on key political, business and community issues and identify which areas could be improved on to support businesses better. The GVCC hosts noon hour 12 @ 12 meetings inviting business owners in specific sectors to voice their challenges and offer and inquire about solutions.

Who are the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) members?

Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce members are a cross section of the Greater Vernon business community with a small percentage of members from other areas.  Some of Greater Vernon’s biggest and longstanding businesses are Chamber members with most members owning small and medium sized companies. The GVCC has a very strong membership base of 750 businesses. 

How do I become a member of the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce?

Do I contact the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce if I’d like to lodge a complaint against or seek a reference for a company?

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce does not manage dispute resolutions, endorse organizations nor provide references. If you would like to lodge a complaint or obtain a reference, please contact your local office of the Better Business Bureau.
